1891 Preamble to the IBEW Constitution
The 10 men from five cities who met above Stolley’s Dance Hall in St. Louis in 1891 had one objective, to make life better for themselves, their families and those around them. They and those who continued their work have made life better for themselves and for hundreds of workers like you.
The IBEW is committed not only to preserving the gains fought for by our ancestors in the labor movement, but also to continually improving the quality of life for all workers.
Currently the IBEW represents approximately 750,000 members who work in a wide variety of fields including utilities, construction, telecommunications, broadcasting, manufacturing, railroads, and government.
Here at IBEW Local No. 952, we have over 420 members. Our Collective Bargaining Agreement offers the members a benefit package that includes a health and welfare coverage program with dental and vision, (3) defined pension plans, a 401(K) plan, and a death benefit.

(805) 642-2149, and our monthly general membership meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month. Re-sign is always on the first Monday of every month with the exception when it falls on a holiday.
