When specialized safety shoes (e.g., steel toe/composite toe boots) are required by the contractor as a condition of employment, the LMCC shall reimburse up to $125 to the IBEW member for the purchase of the required footwear.
The member shall provide the LMCC a receipt for reimbursement. Only one reimbursement will be paid to any member over a twelve month period, even if the member goes to work for another contractor.
Alternatively, the member may opt to receive up to a $250 reimbursement to cover a twenty-four month period. If this option is chosen, another reimbursement will not be paid until the end of the twenty-four month period.
It shall be the responsibility of the member to have the required footwear available for use at all times required by the employer.
