 Welcome to IBEW Local No. 952, Ventura, California. We are located approximately sixty miles north of Los Angeles in the
county of Ventura. The boundaries of our jurisdiction cover a wide range of cities stretching from Westlake to as far north as Ojai.
When our local was chartered in 1937, not only were some of our founding members electricians, but
also electrical contractors. The electrical contractors of the time felt a
need to help develop a labor pool of workers for the industry needs. Since then, we have diligently increased our membership with each passing year. Our current membership is over 400 electricians and growing. Commercial and industrial work has been the main source of work in this area, but in recent years the demand for Traffic Signal Technicians and Sound and Communication specialists has opened the doors for a more diverse work scope.
As the demand for skilled electricians increases in our county, the IBEW continues to be the undisputed leader in apprentice and journeyman training. Here at Local 952 we have tailored a program to meet the needs of the rapidly changing industry and of the individual electrician alike. We recognize the fact that the IBEW has historically been the only bonafide source of professionally trained electricians and we are determined to uphold the tradition.
We pride ourselves in quality service. In an effort to remain competitive in various segments of the electrical industry, we now provide “Specialty Agreements” for our contractors. An excellent opportunity to retain our client base and stay competitive. Also, a new drug testing policy has been negotiated to provide a safer work environment. IBEW Local No. 952 is committed in being an industry leader and a true partner with its customers.
